Brian Dorow for Wisconsin State Assembly - 33rd District
Brian is an Associate Dean at Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC). He is currently the Administrator of the Department of Criminal Justice Center for Law Enforcement, Homeland Security and Counter Terrorism initiatives. In this capacity, Brian provides the leadership and management over the Criminal Justice Associate Degree, Police Academy, and specialized and in-service training for law enforcement. He also is involved in key Homeland Security initiatives such as the General Aviation Security Enhancement project.
Prior to this position, Brian spent 10 years with the City of Waukesha Police Department, first as a patrol officer, then as a community policing specialist, and finally as a sergeant. Brian was involved in the development and implementation of several key crime reduction strategies and programs. He is also very active in the community and serves on ten community leadership boards, including the Potawatomi Area Boy Scouts Board of Directors, YMCA Waukesha Board of Directors, the Waukesha Country Community Foundation Board of Directors, La Casa de Esperanza Foundation Board and the U.S. Army Citizen Advisory Committee, to name a few.
Brian was named the Waukesha Freeman 2008 Citizen of the year. He has also received numerous heroic, leadership and community awards over the last 15 years. Brian has been active in the Waukesha County Republican Party over the past ten years, first as a Branch chair for south central Waukesha and then as an at-large member of the Executive Committee. Brian and his wife, Jennifer, along with their three children, Michael (7), Jonathan (5) and newborn daughter Angelina, have lived in the City of Delafield for the last four ½ years. The Dorows attend Westbrook Church in Delafield, and the children attend Lake Country School.
